Acapella favourites back in Molde!
The acapella group, Take 6, is finally back in Molde! With roots in gospel, jazz, doo-woop and rhythm & blues, the group's made a sound that is easily recognised and distinctly their own.
The group has been going on since 1987 and still tours frequently. With their distinctive and easily recognizable expression, they're ready to take Moldejazz in July!
Artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, k.d. lang and Branford Marsalis has already made good use of their musical quality and characteristic sound in concerts and recordings. The American stars have a warm hearty relation with the audiences in Molde, after several animated concert-meetings at the festival throughout the last decades. Take 6 is simply the most awarded vocal group in history and has an impressive record of 10 Grammys. Their latest album, Iconic, was released in April last year and went directly to the first place on Billboard's top jazz song chart. We're looking forward to a new meeting with this unique group, who's still at the top in their fourth decade. A quick tip form the festival office: This concert will sell out quickly!
